Vikings trade

For a talented G in Toniu Fonoti from the Chargers for a seventh round pick, possibly a sixth. He will be a Free Agent after this season, and the Chargers were going to let him leave. But he is one of the better Guards in football, and is real good against the run. He is injured, and probably will not play till October 30 vs Carolina, but this could be a nice pick-up down the stretch for the Vikings here's a scouting report from ESPN INSIDER

Comment:He is a mauler OG that can absorb the defender. He was in much better shape this season and showed dramatic improvement in terms of his motor and effort. He used to wear down easily, but it is him who seemed to wear down his opponent last season. He has a big, wide lower body. He plays with solid leverage and knee bend. He has an explosive lower body - can roll his hips and get into a defender. He is a good athlete with good foot quickness for his size. Can lose his balance on base blocks when he has to step and reach. When he tires he becomes a waist-bender and will drop his head in pass pro. Will have mental mistakes. Would like to see him be a more complete finisher for a player his size. He has trouble finding the moving target at the 2nd level.
