Vikings Sale

Vikings Sale close well it is according to KSTP. Glen Taylor believes a deal will be struck between Red McCombs and Reggie Fowler for around 625 Million, this week according to the Feb. 12 Star Tribune. KSTP believes the parameters of the deal are in place. The only question would then be whether the NFL would approve the Fowler ownership group at their March meetings. Remember the reason the Timberwolves are still in Minnesota is because the NBA owners rejected a deal by Boxing promoter Bob Arum to buy and move the team to New Orleans in 1994. It should also be noted that the NFL rejected Tom Clancy's ownership of the Vikings in 1998, due to insufficent wealth because of a divorce settlement. In the Star Tribune Taylor seems to indicate he sees Fowler possibly being seen as not having enough wealth, and him eventually owning the team. This could very well make big news in the next 7 days.
